Bobby was born in Verdon, OK, to Joseph Leroy and Eletha Mae Estes on April 22, 1930. He came to Washington in 1946 with his family and settled temporarily in Chelan, then later moved to Omak. Bobby graduated from Omak High School in 1951. He served in the National Guard for several years while working in a cabinet shop and for the Omak School District, then moved to the Seattle area and worked for Boeing for 13 years.
Bobby met the love of his life, Adrienne Turcotte - it was love at first sight! After only six months of a long distance relationship, they were married September 4, 1965. Family and friends said it would never last. After being laid-off at Boeing, Bobby retrained in the hotel/motel industry, along with Adrienne, by attending Motel 6 School and being assigned to Fresno, CA. Later, they opened a new motel in Sea-Tac, WA. They left motel management and, while living in Hermiston, OR, Bobby was the distributor for The Oregonian and The Oregon Journal for a time, then returned to Washington and settled in Wenatchee. He worked at Aerosmith before taking a position with the Wenatchee School District and worked there until retiring. Bobby's favorite hobbies were fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his best friend and loving companion of 42 years, his wife, Adrienne at home in Wenatchee; sister, Melba Williams of Tucson, AZ; brother, Leo (Angie) Estes of Wenatchee; sister, Alta (Quincy) Barham of Bullhead City, AZ; sister, Pat (Wayne) Leighton of Maple Valley, WA; sister, Darlene (Jack) Gray of East Wenatchee; brother, Terry (Annette) Estes of Spokane, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; and several nieces and nephews.
