Carol Jordan, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was born on November 4, 1937, to Minnie and Brian Watson in Rawls, TX, and later moved to California as a child. She met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Jordan and they married on September 18, 1954, in Yuma, AZ. Carol stayed in California while Bob was out to sea, and in 1958, they moved to Wenatchee and lived there since.
Carol was a very caring and giving person - she was a homemaker for a while, taking care of her four children plus helping to raise her brother. As her children grew up, she decided to go back to school and get her high school diploma. Carol went on to receive a degree in Registered Nursing and an AA degree in chemistry from Moses Lake Community College and in science from Wenatchee Valley College. After getting her nursing degree, she loved helping and taking care of people. Carol became a traveling nurse, caring for patients all over the United States.
She was a Cub Scout leader, a Girl Scout leader, and PTA president while her children were in school, as well as a Search and Rescue leader. Carol was a former member of the Soroptomists, served as club president, and traveled to Japan for a world meeting representing the Wenatchee area. She was also a 'hockey mom' at the old ice rink volunteering a lot of time helping her boys and brother. Carol enjoyed sewing, making clothing for the kids as they were growing up. She loved doing arts and crafts and time spent with her grandchildren. Carol was a member of the Eastmont Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Jordan of Wenatchee; three sons, Dwight (Debbie) Jordan and Dwayne (Lory) Jordan of Wenatchee, and Robert (Julie) Jordan of Lake Chelan; two daughters, Debbie (Cecil) Reimer of Yakima, WA, and Pat (Andy) Voldberg of East Wenatchee; one brother, Mack McCollum, and one sister, Phyllis Allen, both of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her parents, Minnie and Brian Watson, preceded Carol in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Eastmont Baptist Church, 400 S. Kentucky in East Wenatchee. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
