Doris Arlene Wanicek

Doris Arlene Wanicek entered into rest July 24, 2007.  She was born January 25, 1935 in Spokane, WA, to Rethel E. (Barnes) Wanecek and George Wanecek.  Doris attended schools in Spokane, graduating from John Rogers High School.  She was employed for a number of years by Pacific NW Bell Telephone Company and later by the Kiwanis Club of Spokane.  After moving to Wenatchee, she worked at Kelly’s Answering Service for 18 years.  Her last employment, before retiring, was Okanogan County Chore Services.

She was preceded in death by her parents; dear stepmother, Mamie Wanecek; and sisters, Edna Shear and Mabel Meyer.  Doris is survived by a sister, Ellen Anderson of St. George, VA; step-sons, Greek and Ted Taylor of Pueblo, CO; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends and caretakers, Ele Jones and Tammy Predmore.  At her request, there will not be a funeral service.
