Dorothy M. Agresta

Dorothy M. Agresta, loving wife, mother and grandmother, entered eternal rest on June 30, 2007.  She was born in Parkersburg, IA, in 1921, and has been a resident of Wenatchee since 1953.  While married to Laverne Klenzman, she had three children before his death in 1958.  In 1959, she married John M. Newman, who passed away in 1977.  Dorothy married Sam Agresta, Sr., in 1985; he preceded her in death in 2006.  After working many years in retail sales, she retired from People’s Department Store.  Prior to her illness, Dorothy was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay (Don) Berdan of Wenatchee, Kathy Leitner of Vancouver, WA, and a son, Ken Klenzman of Alta Lake, WA; grandchildren, Lindsay Berdan of Seattle and Garrett Berdan of Vancouver, WA; a brother, Ed Mullen of East Wenatchee; and stepchildren, Sam (Debbie) Agresta of Redmond, WA, Mary Ellen Jones of Kirkland and Bill Agresta of Michigan.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Dorothy Agresta will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Wenatchee City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Our House Cancer Center.
