Ellis Miller, 97, of Wenatchee, died August 5, 2007, after suffering a major stroke.  He was born December 20, 1909, near Richland Township, KS, and moved to Washington in 1927.  He married Mabel Hill at Sunnyslope, June 9, 1934.  She preceded him in death, May 9, 2001.  Ellis was a member of the Wenatchee Brethren-Baptist Church.  He worked as a carpenter, retiring in 1974 from VanDivort Construction.

Ellis was preceded in death by his parents and a stepmother; his sister, Mary; and two brothers, Delbert and Harold.  He is survived by two sisters, Alveda Miller of Seattle and Erlene Reiman of West Seattle; two sons, Donald (wife, Barbara) of Sunnyslope and Roger (wife, Bonnie) of Ephrata; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

Graveside services will be held at Wenatchee City Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2007.  Donations may be made to the Wenatchee Senior Center in Ellis Miller’s memory.
