Emma L. Copeland departed this life on December 12, 2007. She was born January 10, 1911, at Boswell, AR, to parents Seth and Daisy Jones - one of nine children. Emma married Cecil Copeland in August of 1936 at Norfork, AR, where they made their first home. Later they bought a farm near Melbourne, AR. In 1954, they moved to the San Joaquin Valley in California, then to Wenatchee in 1962.

Emma was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting. She loved garage "sale-ing" with her kids and spending time with her growing family of many grand and great-grand kids as well as with her two sisters, Dolores and Inez.

Survivors include her children, Sharon (Jim) Linn, Douglas (Mary) Copeland, Paulette (Ken) Stratton, Donald (Phyllis) Copeland and Angie Widmer, all of the Wenatchee Valley; and one sister, Dolores Puckett of Batesville, AR. Preceding her in death were her husband, Cecil Copeland; her parents, Seth and Daisy Jones; one granddaughter, Terry Lambert; one great-grandson, Annual Worden Goodrich III; six brothers; and one sister.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2007, at Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held thereafter.
