Florabelle West, 89, a native Chelan County resident, died Friday, January 4, 2008, in Highline Care Center. She was born March 25, 1918, to James and Katie Alice (Lee) Riddall at Chelan, WA. Florabelle graduated from Chelan High School in 1936 and from Wenatchee Business College in 1937. She married Cecil West in Wenatchee on November 25, 1938. While following her husband's career in education, she worked as a homemaker and bookkeeper for SeaFirst Bank in Cheney, WA, Bank of Endicott in Endicott, WA, and North Country Fruit in Chelan.

Florabelle is survived by her husband of 69 years, Cecil of East Wenatchee; a daughter, Cecilia West Jones of Wenatchee; sons, Fred West of Cashmere, WA, and Joe West of Wenatchee; five grandchildren; six great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; and one brother.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2008, in Grace Lutheran Church in Wenatchee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stained Glass Window Fund at Grace Lutheran Church.
