Freeman “Ed” Rose, 93, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006.
He was born in Port Orchard and at a young age moved with his family to San Francisco, Calif. He returned to Washington state at age 18 and was a butcher and meat cutter in Coulee Dam, and also a pipe layer. He retired from Coca Cola in 1974 after 38 years. He also owned a bottling plant in Wenatchee in the 1940s featuring his own brand of flavored pop.
Survivors include his children, Judy Hager of Wenatchee and Bob Rose of Ephrata; and his longtime companion, Anna Lowe.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Betts Funeral Home in Wenatchee, followed by a reception at Colonial Vista in Wenatchee.
