James Daniel Lowe, 77, of East Wenatchee, died Sunday, February 24, 2008. He was born April 29, 1930, at St. Paul, MN. Jim moved with his family to Seattle in 1939, and in 1947, moved to Wenatchee. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1948 and from Washington State College in 1953. Jim married Jean Foy of Lynden, WA, in Riverside, CA, on August 21, 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1953 until June 1955. Jim was a member of Gyro International, American Legion, Eastmont Jaycees and Cashmere Lions Club. He worked as a fieldman for Growers Credit and Chamberlin Distributing Co. until he was 40 years-old, and then was self-employed as a homebuilder and remodeler.
Jim is survived by his wife, Jean; children, J. Daniel and Susan Lowe of Selah, WA, Michael Lowe and Sheryl Cox of Entiat, WA, Trudy A. Lowe of Seattle and friend, Dorothy Ramsey of Seattle; granddaughters, Courtney and Hillary Lowe of Seattle; great-grandson, Caleb James; a niece; a nephew; and two sisters-in-law.
Vigil services will be conducted at Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Apostles at 2:00 p.m., Thrusday, February 28, 2008. If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice in Jim's name.
