Margaret Adeline Waite

Margaret Adeline Waite, age 102, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008. She was born on September 2, 1905, to Claus Henry and Anna Saathoff Viebrock of Waterville, WA. Margaret married Alfred Charles Waite of Manson, WA, May 22, 1933. They made their home in Manson and operated an orchard for 57 years. After her husband's death, she sold the orchard and home and moved to Colonial Vista Retirement Apartments in Wenatchee in 1991. In 2005, Margaret moved to Blossom Valley Assisted Living in Wenatchee. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church and an active member of the Manson Grange.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband in December of 1990; and by her parents; four brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by seven nieces; Raynell Lewis of Spokane Valley, WA, Carolyn Leirness of Turlock, CA, Helen Peterson of Waterville, Ann Jordan of Waterville, Edith Ogle of Waterville, Myrna Regan of Waterville and Sue Tong of Seattle. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to Healthy Options and its staff for their loving care of Margaret during the past year.

Viewing will be held from 9 to 1 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2008, at Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Wenatchee City Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Blossom Valley Assisted Living with the Rev. Kel Groseclose officiating.
