Marilyn L. "Mary Lou" Patrick, 78, a life-time resident of Monitor and East Wenatchee, died Thursday evening, April 10, 2008, at Central Washington Hospital. She was born in Wenatchee, January 6, 1930, to the late Owen and Dorothy (Wilcox) Wheeler. Mary Lou attended school at Monitor, H.B. Ellison Junior High School in Wenatchee, and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1948. Later that year, she married Robert Patrick. Mary Lou worked as a manager for Sears for 16 years before operating her own store, "Patricks" in Waterville, WA, for over ten years. She was an accomplished writer and had several of her stories published. Mary Lou belonged to a local writer's group. In later years, she helped her husband on their cherry ranch.
Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the family home in East Wenatchee; daughter, Erayna (Scott) MacKay of Spokane; son, Brent (Vicky) Patrick of St. Maries, ID; and daughter, Kim (Mike) George of Cashmere, WA; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a sister.
