Marjory Hite Price calmly passed from this life on Friday, March 14, 2008. Marge was born to William and Laura Smith Hite on March 2, 1917, spending her first 12 years in East Greanacres, ID. The family moved to Wenatchee and she graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1935. She married Chas. B. Gile in 1937, and remained in the Wenatchee Valley. Marge was very proud of the years she spent as a pharmacy assistant at Wenatchee Valley Clinic for Mr. Ellis and the "Dons" during the late 1950s and early '60s. In 1964, she married D.V. "Bud" Price who 'whisked' her off to Portland and devoted the rest of his life to his business and giving her a lovely life. Marge was a spirited lady, playful and enthusiastic.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Bud Price; her brother, King Hite; and sister, Louise Mirabell. Marge is survived by her sister, Wildabelle Buerstatts of Normandy Park, WA. Also surviving are her children, Marjory M. (Mel) Radford of Mill Creek, WA; Sharley (Bill) Anderson of Wenatchee; Bonnie (Rod) VanHoven of Wenatchee; and Gary (Kathy) Price of Pleasanton, CA. "Granny" is survived by Alison and Dave; Jeff and Katy; Emily, Kiersten and Brenna; and Mike, Matt, Melissa and Marcus.

The family wishes to express appreciation to her caregivers: Colonial Vista for a decade of patience and good humor; Blossom Creek for extending that care over the next two plus years along with your strong, gentle hands during her last weeks; and the Hospice nurses who cared for us all and provided a struggle-free passing for our loved one.

A memorial service will be held in Marge's honor on Friday, March 28, 2008, at Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home. A private burial is planned for the Wenatchee Cemetery.
