Mildred Mooney passed away peacefully on April 10, 2008, with her family at her side. Millie was born on the family farm on May 30, 1915, to William and Violet Murray. She attended first through eighth grades in the Murray School and graduated from Crary High School in 1933. Millie lived in Devil's Lake where she met Donovan Mooney. They were married in Cando, ND, on October 2, 1939. The following year, they moved to Wenatchee and resided there for 62 years. Her husband, Donovan, preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. In November of that year, she moved to Bremerton to live with her daughter, Nancy, and her husband, Don. Suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, she moved into a memory care home in 2005.

Millie is survived by her son, Thomas Mooney of Angwin, CA; her daughter, Nancy Rongholt, and husband, Don, of Bremerton, WA. She had 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
