Richard "Dick" Papa Fagg was born June 6, 1936, in LaCrosse, WA. He passed, surrounded by his family, on December 27, 2007. He was the son of Buck and Thelma Fagg and was raised in Pullman, WA. Dick graduated from Pullman High School in 1956. After graduation, he received a football scholarship to Wenatchee Junior College. Dick served in Special Services in the Army from 1958 to 1960. Upon returning to Pullman, he married Kaye Healy in June of 1961, and they made their home in the Wenatchee Valley from then on.
Dick was employed in the fruit industry for over 40 years rising to warehouse management positions. He was also a partner in Northwest Fresh. Not only was he successful in his endeavors, he also was a mentor to many. Recently retired, Dick took great pleasure in following the activities of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kaye; two sons, Kyle (Margaret), and Kip (Deena); four grandchildren, Cassidy "CJ", Kevin, Jeddediah and Jaxxon; and his sisters, Janet Neely and Patsy Perman.
A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to our local Salvation Army.
