Teresa Ann (Black) Schuyleman was born December 30, 1956, in Eugene, OR, to Donald and Carol Grove. She passed away after a brief illness on February 11, 2008. She was a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley. Teresa married Randall C. Black, Sr., on January 10, 1976 and they had four children; Elizabeth, Jason, and twin boys, Randall, Jr. and Carey. On September 15, 2007, she married James "Jim" Jonathan Schuyleman. They made their home on Easy Street in Wenatchee, where they spent spring and summer months enjoying and working on their garden and fish pond.
Teresa dedicated her life to caring for senior citizens in the Valley in adult family homes. At times, she also worked as a flagger. Teresa loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, cooking and time with family. Camping for a week or more with her husband and family was a favorite activity.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Schuyleman; her children, Elizabeth A. Garibay, Jason C. Black, Randall C. Black, Jr., and Carey A. Black; her grandchildren, Ben D. Morton, Kaitlyn Black, Julianna Black, Emma Black, and Stella Black; her mother, Carol Richard; her brother, David W. Grove; sisters, Lena M. Grove and Mary Darlington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were precious to her. Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cashmere, WA, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to US Bank in Wenatchee, WA, in her memory.
