Rick went to be with the Lord, September 25, 2007, following a short illness. He was a 19-year resident of Entiat. He was born to Ruth Vera (Hutchinson) and George Dewey Maxey on July 29, 1930, in Fayetteville, AR. Rick was a corporal in the Air Force with an honorable discharge on October 26, 1950. He and a friend came from Arkansas to Chelan, WA. Rick met Patricia Hughes, the love of his life, and they were married November 19, 1954. They moved to the Seattle area where they lived for 34-years. Rick worked for Boeing as a machinist for 33-years, retiring in 1988. They moved to the Entiat Valley where he loved to hunt and fish. His greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He was senior advisor and mechanic for his grandchildren and their vehicles. Rick enjoyed making his windmill and other lawn ornaments, and was known for spoiling his families’ dogs.
